Job Description

 

  • Diagnose and repair complex automation and control system failures.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, and motion control systems.
  • Modify PLC and HMI programs under engineering guidelines.
  • Perform advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting.
  • Support robotic programming, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
  • Maintain industrial communication networks.
  • Analyze downtime events and implement corrective actions.
  • Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
  • Must abide by all Larson/FBIN policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, Servo controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Industrial networking
    • Ability to modify ladder logic and troubleshoot control systems.
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 480V.
    • Experience with robotics and automated material handling systems.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
    • Availability for off-shift support and emergency response.

    Education and Experience

    • Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
    • 3-5 years of supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
