FOLX Health is currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our Finance team. Reporting to and working in close partnership with the CFO, the Controller will lead and support development of our Accounting and Finance expertise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own, oversee and direct the full accounting function and all related accounting activities for the organization.
  • Direct and control general accounting activities, including monthly close activities, AR/AP, payroll, and revenue cycle management in accordance with GAAP and company policy
  • Lead the documentation of accounting procedures; ensure implementation of requisite system changes to support the organization, new products, automation of financial reporting and processes, etc.
  • Support the development and maintenance of accounting systems and controls 
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and auditors to plan and execute our annual financial statement audit 
  • Collaborate with our tax firm to ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state and local tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and adherence to policies as necessary.
  • Lead budget vs actual reconciliation monthly by department and cost center
  • Lead treasury and cash management function, including relationship with banks and investment account management
  • Oversee payroll and other employee benefits in collaboration with HR

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years experience in corporate accounting or a controller role
  • At least 5 years experience building, managing, mentoring, and leading accounting and finance teams through significant growth
  • CPA required and public accounting experience preferred
  • Industry experience working with direct-to-consumer healthcare companies; prior experience in a high growth stage startup environment a plus
  • Industry experience and knowledge regarding revenue recognition, equity accounting, and corporate practice of medicine structures.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Proven leadership, business partnership, and presentation skills with the ability to manage and influence organizations
  • Strong and efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational/multitasking skills, with the ability to plan/prioritize to ensure efficient and timely deliverables
  • Proven experience successfully leading financial statements audits and tax filings
  • Experience working with a variety of financial platforms i.e. NetSuite, Stripe, Carta, Ramp, etc.

Salary range: $170,000 - $180,000
