Internship Overview

10-Week Summer Internship Experience: 

  • Two days of onboarding and training centered around programming overviews and setting you up for success.
  • Opportunity to spend your summer in areas across the Consumer Bank and other enterprise functions such as:
    • Consumer Bank: Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Consumer Strategy, Checking & Deposits, Customer Experience Delivery, Branch Distribution Transformation, and Transformation Office.
    • Enterprise Functions and Strategy: Enterprise Marketing, Risk, Sustainability, Enterprise Customer Experience, Corporate Communications, Innovation, and Corporate Strategy
  • Extensive programming around professional development, executive speaker series, and relevant business initiatives

Mentor Program and Support: 

  • Paired with a CBEX alumni as a mentor for guidance throughout the summer.

Life After Internship:

  • Given advanced consideration for the Consumer Bank Enterprise Experience (CBEX) Leadership Development Program, a full-time, one-year program consisting of four, 3-month rotations across participating business lines.

Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For: 

  • Ambitious team players and strategic thinkers
  • Skills in analytical and critical thinking, business and financial acumen, communication, creativity, data analysis, detail-oriented, initiative, leadership, learning agility, relationship building, and time management.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, expected graduation date of May 2028
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (3.50+ preferred)
  • All majors considered; preference for Business, Communications, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing
  • Demonstrated leadership experience desired
  • Successfully complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link. If not completed within the timeframe, your application will be automatically withdrawn from consideration.

Please note that permanent work authorization in the United States is required. This position is not eligible for CPT, OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Location:

  • Program starts June 1, 2027
  • Based in Westwood, MA, with some travel required to Johnston, RI
  • Westwood office is easily accessible by car or 20-minute commuter rail from Boston with employee shuttles from the MBTA station.

Pay Transparency

The position offers $27/per hour as a starting rate.
