Handle all phases of commercial litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. Conduct legal research, draft motions and briefs, communicate with clients, and collaborate with senior attorneys across practice areas. Focus may include landlord, real estate, and property management disputes.
Offit Kurman, a full-service Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join our Charlotte, North Carolina office.
The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in developing a long-term litigation career.
Practice Area:
This position will focus primarily on litigation practice and related commercial litigation matters. Prior experience with landlord representation, real estate litigation, and property management a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform all phases of litigation, from pleadings through trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Attend depositions, hearings, and client communications
- Collaborate with senior attorneys across practice areas in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the North Carolina bar required
- 5-15 years of litigation experience
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Motivated, hardworking, and eager to learn
