STV is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our Corporate Commercial Project team. This position will be designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and can be located in one of the following offices: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Franklin, TN; or Lake Mary, FL.

The Commercial Analyst role requires knowledge and understanding of commercial management of Architecture and Engineering design Projects, to include but not be limited to an understanding of risk, cost control and reporting methodologies in order to protect and maximize STV financial performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the role is to administer commercial matters relating to a specific Project(s), to minimize commercial risk and maximize opportunity through the identification and monitoring of potential risks, compilation of potential change orders and claims, as well as recording and forecasting of cost in order that an accurate understanding of the Project’s performance can be made.

  • Adhere to commercial processes and procedures

  • In conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager establish a commercial strategy with clear commercial objectives

  • Ensure all correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor are reviewed and responded to accordingly, advising the Commercial Manager of any correspondence that correspondence of a contractual nature

  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and manage them through to conclusion to minimize STV liability

  • Manage the submission of potential change orders in accordance with Project contractual obligations

  • Prepare timely sub-consultant agreements, coordinating scope (including co-ordination and other matters) with the appropriate engineering staff

  • Administer sub-consultant agreements to ensure liabilities are accurate, payments are made in accordance with their respective agreements, and all necessary correspondence is issued

  • Assist with the co-ordination of claims to ensure responses are provided in a timely manner

  • Provide accurate Operating Statements (OpStats), including subconsultant liability analysis, potential change order logs, and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports in accordance with STV procedures

  • Ensure accurate records are maintained

  • Develop and maintain various logs, tables, and analysis to support commercial activities

  • Fulfil any other task that can be reasonably within the contemplation of the role

COMPETENCIES

  • Up to 3 years commercial management experience desired

  • Technical knowledgeable in commercial, contract and risk management

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to resolve problems independently and operate efficiently under pressure

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in construction, engineering or related discipline

Compensation Range:

$58,480.63 - $66,835.00
