Role Summary

The Platform Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), enabling engineering teams to deliver software faster, more securely, and at scale. This role focuses on simplifying infrastructure complexity by developing self-service platform capabilities, standardized deployment patterns, and reliable shared services that enhance the overall developer experience and improve engineering productivity.

What You’ll Do


  • Design, build, and operate the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to enable self-service infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes platforms using Helm, Kustomize, and cloud-managed Kubernetes services.
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Develop reusable platform components, golden-path templates, and developer automation to improve engineering productivity.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Tekton, or Jenkins.
  • Design and operate observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Implement secure secrets management using HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or equivalent technologies.
  • Configure and manage cloud networking, including VPCs, ingress controllers, load balancers, and DNS.
  • Implement container security best practices and ensure platform reliability and compliance.
  • Support service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd for secure service-to-service communication.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Define and monitor platform SLIs/SLOs to ensure platform performance and availability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud operations.
  • Experience building and supporting cloud-native platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or Tekton.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, ingress controllers, load balancers, and DNS.
  • Scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
