Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support cloud-based observability platforms, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing systems
  • Develop and enhance cloud-native applications using AWS services, including serverless technologies such as Lambda
  • Implement and manage containerized workloads using Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes-based orchestration
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
  • Partner with engineering teams to onboard applications and promote observability best practices
  • Manage and optimize SaaS and internally hosted platforms, including vendor coordination and performance tuning
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of cloud platforms
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to ensure consistent, scalable deployments and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development velocity while maintaining quality standards
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve platform performance and efficiency
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on cloud architecture, containerization, and automation
  • Provides advanced level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Troubleshoots software systems on multiple cloud computing platforms and system integration into existing cloud computing platforms.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles
  • Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures (required)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS and/or Kubernetes (required)
  • Experience with serverless architectures and modern cloud design patterns
  • Strong programming and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
  • Experience with observability or monitoring platforms (logs, metrics, tracing) preferred
  • Hands-on Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, observability architectures, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including alerting strategies, service health monitoring, and SLI/SLO-driven operations preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
