Job Overview 

We are seeking a Client Readiness & Technical Operations Engineer to support advisor office launches, new hire technology onboarding, and endpoint deployment operations while driving process automation and operational efficiency. This role combines hands-on endpoint provisioning, inventory and asset lifecycle management, and deployment readiness activities with the design and enhancement of operational systems, reporting, and workflow automation solutions.

This person will work with various technology and business teams, as well as our customers, to ensure the accurate and timely setup and delivery of hardware for onsite deployment teams. This includes configuration and/or imaging, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, inventory management, asset tracking, shipping and receiving, and other activities related to remote office deployments. 

This is an onsite position in our Fort Mill, SC office (5 days a week). 

Ability to travel ~10% 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate end-to-end technology readiness for advisor office launches and client new hires, ensuring equipment is delivered accurately and on schedule. 

  • Partner with recruiting, onboarding, deployment, engineering, and business teams to provision technology from offer acceptance through start date. 

  • Image and provision Windows endpoints using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, deployment task sequences, scripts, and standardized build processes. 

  • Configure endpoint hardware, user profiles, productivity software, security tools, and business applications. 

  • Configure and stage additional technology including IP phones, routers, switches, wireless equipment, printers, and other office technology. 

  • Perform functional testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure deployment readiness. 

  • Diagnose hardware failures and coordinate warranty repair or replacement with vendors. 

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics including shipping, receiving, packaging, and equipment tracking. 

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through routine audits, stock management, labeling, and inventory organization. 

  • Track hardware throughout its lifecycle by documenting serial numbers, asset assignments, and disposition activities within IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems. 

  • Partner with Asset Management on technology refresh, equipment recovery, end-of-life processing, and environmentally responsible asset disposition. 

  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, procedures and knowledge articles. 

  • Support technology distribution and recovery activities for new hires, existing employees, and offboarding personnel. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting advisors, internal employees, and deployment teams.

Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Windows desktop environments. 

  • Minimum 2 years of endpoint deployment, provisioning, imaging, or desktop engineering experience. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, Autopilot, or similar endpoint-management tools.

  • Experience with hardware lifecycle management, inventory control, and asset management processes.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.

Core Competencies 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and demenstrate strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. 

  • Experience in following areas: Windows 11 administration, Microsoft 365, Endpoint imaging and deployment, Hardware lifecycle management , Inventory and asset management, Desktop hardware troubleshooting, Customer service excellence and Process documentation 

  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset, enjoy team collaboration, good time management, and be adaptable and flexibile to change

Preferred 

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or modern endpoint management. 

  • Experience configuring Cisco or Meraki networking equipment. 

  • Experience configuring VoIP phones. 

  • PowerShell or other scripting experience. 

  • Experience with ServiceNow or ITSM platforms. 

  • Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems. 

  • ITIL Foundation certification. 

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification. 

  • Experience supporting advisor or branch office deployments. 

  • Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated industry. 

 


 

Pay Range:

$33.72-$56.20/hour
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
