This role is ideal for a consulting‑minded professional who excels at entering unstructured or high‑pressure finance environments, quickly diagnosing what’s not working, designing thoughtful solutions, and leading hands‑on execution alongside clients. Our CFO Advisory team partners closely with finance leaders, boards, and audit committees during periods of growth, transformation, and transaction activity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Entering complex or ambiguous finance environments to assess challenges across people, processes, data, and systems
  • Provide strategic financial leadership to clients, including providing interim services such as Head of Finance or Controller for organizations without dedicated finance leadership
  • Identifying root‑cause issues and translating them into clear, pragmatic, and executable solutions
  • Leading and delivering engagements across key Office of the CFO service areas, including:
    • Transaction readiness and execution support (buy‑side and sell‑side)
    • Finance advisory and transformation, including financial operations, process redesign, standardization, and optimization
    • Management, external, and board‑level reporting improvements
  • Supporting CFOs with board and audit committee communications, including financial reporting readiness, audit support, and executive‑level insights
  • Serving as the day‑to‑day engagement lead, managing scope, timelines, and client expectations
  • Working side‑by‑side with client teams to ensure solutions designed, implemented and sustained
  • Coaching and developing consultants and senior associates
  • Building strong, trust‑based relationships with CFOs, Controllers, board members, and executive stakeholders
  • Contributing to practice growth through client expansion, solution development, and thought leadership

Education & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in CFO Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Management Consulting, FP&A leadership, Finance Transformation, or Public Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • CPA or Master’s degree (MBA, MAcc, or MS in Finance) required
  • Strong foundation in accounting, finance operations, and financial reporting from previous consulting or industry experience required
  • Experience supporting CFO‑level initiatives such as finance transformation, transactions, or regulatory readiness desired
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage multiple workstreams
  • Experience developing and mentoring junior team members
