It’s an exciting time to join the Participant Consulting & Education (PC&E) team as we continue to scale our impact and strengthen our operational foundation. 

PC&E is made up of advisors and consultants whose work directly ties to key business outcomes including participant engagement, financial well-being, and growth of Vanguard relationships. 

This role serves as the PC&E lead for business transformation and change management, guiding our crew through a significant transformational journey that strengthens how we work, adapt, and deliver results. 

The role is responsible for shaping and executing change strategies that drive adoption, build readiness, and embed new ways of working with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. A key focus is establishing a disciplined, structured process for capacity planning and for evaluating, prioritizing, and integrating new activities and capabilities in support of participant-facing crew. 

This role also partners closely with business partners and stakeholders to understand priorities, manage demand for the team’s services, and ensure resources are aligned to the highest-value work as the organization scales. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of change and communication strategies for transformation initiatives and critical business initiatives within the Participant Consulting & Education team, ensuring our crew is prepared, engaged, and supported throughout the journey while advancing the effectiveness and impact. 

  • Design and implement best practices, governance, and structured processes for capacity planning and for assessing, prioritizing, and adopting new activities and capabilities within the Participant Consulting & Education team. Work closely with key business partners and stakeholders to understand evolving needs, manage demand for services, and align team capacity and resources. 

  • Develop and lead communication and engagement plans for transformation and change initiatives, translating strategy into clear, compelling messaging for crew, leaders, and senior stakeholders to drive understanding, alignment, and adoption across the Participant Consulting & Education team. 

  • Communicate solutions on key issues or projects to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate. 

  • Establish measures of success for change adoption, organizational readiness, and transformation outcomes, enabling the team’s ability to assess progress, identify gaps, and advance maturity over time. 

  • Build and maintain cross-functional strategic relationships to advance business transformation and change management priorities; anticipate demand, influence prioritization, and coordinate delivery of services of participant-facing crew. 

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business transformation, organizational change management, or process improvement, with at least five years in a leadership or specialist capacity. 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.A./B.Sc.) in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Information Technology, or related field is required. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in ambiguous environments and advance strategic opportunities from concept through execution with measurable outcomes. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and identify opportunities to enhance both crew and participant experiences while achieving business objectives. 

  • Proven ability to influence key decisions across senior stakeholder groups to drive alignment and achieve results. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues proactively and take appropriate action to resolve them. 

  • Consistently demonstrates essential leadership behaviors in support of crew and business partners, including: 

  • Demonstrates a growth mindset by actively seeking and applying feedback. 

  • Exercises sound judgment in balancing stakeholder needs and setting strategic priorities. 

  • Holds crew, peers, and business partners accountable for fulfilling commitments.
