Overview
We’re thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for a Business & Technology Development Manager to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in the fiber-optics and data-center market! In this role, you’ll have the chance to build and nurture valuable relationships with customers and partners, drive new business opportunities, and shape the roadmap for high-performance fiber-optic products that will power the next generation of network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with data-center operators, system vendors, and transceiver manufacturers.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer technology roadmaps to uncover new product-development opportunities.
- Drive strategic account plans and launch innovative fiber-optic connectivity solutions.
- Act as a consultative partner by presenting tailored technical and commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define clear product requirements.
- Manage multiple technology and application development programs from kickoff to delivery.
- Represent US Conec at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
- Analyze market trends and provide actionable insights to inform innovation and business strategy.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred).
- Proven success in business development or strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of optical communications and the data-center ecosystem.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Solid project-management, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently (25% or more).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Haves
- Hands-on experience with fiber-optic cabling, connectors, and related hardware.
- Familiarity with data-center infrastructure design and deployment.
- Understanding of network architectures, including optical switching and interconnect technologies.
