Lead onboarding, configuration, adoption, use-case development, operational standards, troubleshooting, and cross-functional consulting. Serve the right message, to the right client, at the right time. That’s the promise driving Vanguard’s Financial Advisor Services (FAS) marketing team — and we’re building the technology engine to deliver it. We’ve stood up a modern Adobe stack, we’re activating Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) as our next major investment, and we’re looking for the person who will make that technology deliver real, measurable capability.

This is a rare build-and-shape role. You won’t inherit a mature, locked-in program — you’ll help define how FAS uses personalization, experimentation, and journey orchestration to grow the business. If you’re a genuine power user who also loves guiding a team toward smarter ways of working, this role was written for you.

What you’ll do

  • Be our AJO expert. Serve as the go-to authority for Adobe Journey Optimizer (B2C) — leading its onboarding, configuration, and maturation as our marquee new capability.
  • Drive adoption and utilization. Turn powerful tools into everyday capability — helping marketers use the stack confidently and get real value from the technology we’ve invested in.
  • Connect the stack. Understand how the surrounding platforms — Marketo, Real-Time CDP, Target, tag management, Web SDK, and Customer Journey Analytics — fit together and use that fluency to make AJO work well within the broader ecosystem.
  • Identify FAS-specific use cases.   Guide Enterprise technology partners on the features,
  • Guide operational processes. Shape the workflows, standards, and practices that make the stack run reliably and scale as we grow.
  • Resolve problems and unblock the team. Troubleshoot configuration and execution issues, and connect the dots across engineering, data, and marketing to keep work moving.
  • Consult and advise. Partner with marketers and enterprise engineering teams to bring a clear point of view on how to get the most from our technology — and where to invest next.

What you’ll bring

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer — or closely adjacent Adobe Experience Platform journey/campaign tools with a clear, fast path to AJO mastery.
  • Working fluency across the broader Adobe stack — you don’t need to be the deepest expert in every tool, but you understand how CDP, Target, Marketo, tag management, Web SDK, and CJA connect, and ideally you bring hands-on depth in more than one of them.
  • Strong consulting instincts — you listen well, frame problems clearly, and can influence without authority across technical and business partners.
  • A track record of driving adoption and measurable outcomes, not just standing up tools.
  • A fast, deep learner — comfortable going deep enough on a platform to teach others.
  • Excellent communication skills — you make complex technology understandable and actionable.

Why you’ll want this role

You’ll sit at the center of FAS’s digital transformation, with the mandate and the investment to make a visible difference. You’ll own a marquee new capability in AJO, deepen your expertise across a best-in-class Adobe stack, and see your work show up in how we reach and serve advisors and their clients.
