Looking to deepen your impact by leading high‑visibility initiatives where your project management experience drives real results?

The Workplace Solutions Service Strategy team plays a central role in shaping how Vanguard serves workplace clients by connecting strategy, client offer, product, and enablement. As a Project Manager on this team, you’ll play a hands‑on role driving execution across high‑priority initiatives—including success plays, quality engagements, and key enablement tools like the Client Success Toolkit—while partnering closely with stakeholders across Workplace Solutions. This role offers meaningful exposure to cross‑functional partners and leaders and the opportunity to help shape how work gets done.

This role is well suited for candidates who enjoy driving execution, partnering across teams, and turning complex ideas into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex projects or workstreams within broader Service Strategy initiatives, owning end‑to‑end execution, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.

  • Proactively managing milestones, risks, and trade‑offs to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with partners to own the Client Success Toolkit, leading updates, enhancements, and governance while representing Service Strategy in Knowledge Management (KM) solution discussions and decisions.

  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders across Workplace Solutions to design and execute rollout strategies for success plays and key initiatives, representing the team in working sessions, forums, and decision‑making discussions. Support pipeline management and drive outcomes.

  • Translate business strategy into scalable tools, processes, and enablement that client‑facing crew can confidently and consistently apply.

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Quality Engagements (QEs), including responding to crew questions, monitoring related reporting, and maintaining QE resources and documentation.

  • Communicate clearly and confidently on project status, progress, risks, and recommendations to team members, partners, and leaders, tailoring messaging to the audience.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Workplace Solutions, proactively fostering collaboration and influencing decisions across stakeholder groups.

  • Anticipate and mitigate risks by applying critical thinking, surfacing insights early, and partnering with stakeholders to develop practical, aligned solutions.

  • Contribute to team evolution and continuous improvement, supporting special projects and helping define best practices as Service Strategy capabilities mature.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services and function-specific experience preferred.

    • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow work through to completion.

    • A proactive, strategic problem solver who uses critical thinking to surface risks or obstacles and can confidently engage with leaders.

    • Expertise in project management methodologies.

    • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.

    • Proven ability to analyze business challenges, develop strategic roadmaps and implement process improvements.

    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project reporting tools for data-driven decision-making.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.

    • Workplace Solutions experience is a plus but not required.

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
