You will play a key role linking the Xero nervous system together across the large and geographically dispersed Product & Technology organisation at Xero. You will also be part of evolving and scaling our Product & Technology Operations team and capability to support our senior leaders execute on the Xero strategy and deliver value to our customers.

The role will work closely with leaders and teams across Engineering to build expertise and trust across multiple sub portfolios.
As a member of various product or technology leadership teams you will be a critical business partner to multiple GMs and EGMs helping to shape and lead key operating models, rituals and core processes.

What you’ll do

  • Enable teams to better execute product and business strategies by shaping, influencing and leading various operational rituals and processes.
  • Drive the execution and continual improvement of annual and quarterly planning rituals and activities, including maintaining roadmaps, tracking OKRs and preparing reviews. 
  • Drive and influence cross-functional and cross-domain collaboration with areas outside of Product and Technology including Design, Marketing and Data and Science to drive unified customer experiences and business / product outcomes.
  • Facilitate your divisions to effectively prioritise, measure, report & act on key metrics including financial, product and technical indicators, working closely with relevant business partners.

Critical competencies/experience

  • Be the subject matter expert in either SaaS product operations or marketing and launches operations
  • Experience in operations, project or strategy roles, SaaS experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of technology products and the product development process through to launch
  • Experience leading through influence.
  • Proven delivery of programmes of work.
  • Awareness of modern delivery principles and practices.
  • Proven experience collaborating and building trust and effective working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes at a range of levels from individual contributor to executive level leader
