We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will lead the design and execution of local growth strategies, including geo-expansion, vertical launches, and unit economics optimization. The ideal candidate will drive go-to-market initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and manage cross-functional projects that deliver measurable business impact. This role also requires strong analytical skills to ensure operational excellence and solve complex challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy Execution: Design and implement local growth strategies, including geo-expansion, unit economics management, and vertical launches.
- Market Development: Drive go-to-market initiatives tailored to the Nigeria context, taking full ownership of adoption and ROI.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and manage high-impact relationships with local fleets, enterprises, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing teams to localize and pilot initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor KPIs using SQL, Tableau, or similar tools; identify bottlenecks and optimize processes and performance across the board.
- Problem-Solving Autonomy: Act decisively in complex and ambiguous environments, effectively navigating competitive, regulatory, and operational challenges.
Qualifications
- A resilient self-starter who doesn’t make excuses and pushes through until goals are achieved.
- 6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or growth roles (tech, mobility, or logistics sectors preferred).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights (SQL proficiency is a plus).
- Execution-focused: Proven track record of delivering results, not just ideas.
- Highly autonomous: Self-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English, with outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
