Raytheon ELCAN is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our global Business Development team. This strategic customer focused role will report to the Associate Director, Business Development in Canada.

In this role, you will be part of a matrixed team that drives new standards of quality, innovation, and performance in the global electro-optics market. Your established network and knowledge of the market, along with an understanding of customer needs and expectations, will be crucial in leading integrated proposal teams to deliver winning proposals. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring Raytheon ELCAN continues to excel in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions in the electro-optics market.
Possible Work Locations: Nationwide within proximity of an airport.
Ability to travel 1-2 weeks a month within the US

What You Will Do
In this role, you will be responsible for several key functions aimed at driving business growth and maintaining strong customer relationships within the aerospace and defense sectors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new and follow-on opportunities with both existing and new aerospace and defense customers.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with U.S. defense and aerospace prime contractors, while maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
- Support the development of annual strategic plans and growth strategies through market, competitor, and customer budget analysis.
- Lead bid and proposal efforts, including preparation of gate reviews and customer-facing presentations.
- Identify and support strategic partnerships, acting as either a prime contractor or subcontractor as needed.
- Use standardized business development processes to evaluate opportunities, apply consultative selling techniques, and deliver customer-centric solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Develop and execute multi-level customer engagement plans and maintain a prioritized opportunity pipeline, including price-to-win and market pricing analysis.
- The position will require mainly domestic travel, with some international travel as needed to support business development activities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 experience.
- Experience working with DoD related Prime government customers.
- Established networks with US Defense and Aerospace industry customers.
- Experience in marketing, business management, and business development including forecasting, pipeline growth and strategic planning.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Skilled in identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities, as well as expanding into new markets in collaboration with internal leadership.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in international business markets and familiarity with the federal acquisition process.
- Effective communication with military customers.
- Proven self-starter with a track record of growth and passion for business development.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, interpersonal skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
