The Business Development Manager – Educational Supplies is responsible for developing, implementing, and driving the Educational Supplies sales strategy to expand the company’s customer base and generate sustainable revenue growth. The role focuses on client acquisition, relationship management, key account development, sales leadership, and effective coordination of internal resources to deliver high-quality educational supply solutions. Responsibilities - Support the development and execution of the Educational Supplies business and sales strategy. - Drive execution, monitoring, and reporting of sales performance within assigned regions. - Ensure alignment with management directives and communicate strategic goals to the team. - Manage and optimize Educational Supplies unit resources for effective utilization and operational efficiency. - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Monitor customer behaviour and proactively address client needs. - Resolve client issues and escalate matters where necessary. Track customer purchase patterns and implement appropriate retention strategies. - Improve overall customer service delivery processes. Drive revenue growth within the Educational Supplies segment. - Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base. Develop and manage sales pipelines and conversion strategies. - Collaborate with internal teams to create targeted sales initiatives. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to achieve targets. - Build and sustain partnerships with schools, institutions, and corporate organizations. - Engage vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality delivery. Represent the organization at industry events to enhance visibility and develop partnerships. - Manage and grow key accounts within the Educational Supplies segment. Develop a deep understanding of client needs and expectations. - Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards. Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development. - Support team members in closing deals and achieving business objectives. Foster a high-performance culture and motivate team members. - Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training to team members. Requirements - Minimum of a First Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. - 7–10 years of experience in sales or business development. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role. - Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Strong sales and negotiation abilities. - Strong relationship management skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Customer service orientation. Business development capability. - Project management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Knowledge of the Educational Supplies market. - Understanding of industry trends and competitor analysis. - Understanding of procurement processes. Understanding of customer behaviour and buying patterns.
