The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Data Consultant to support our clients’ enterprise data architecture, information management and data governance agendas.

You will analyse, define and document conceptual business data models, Information Objects and enterprise data terminology, helping ensure that critical business information is consistently understood, governed and represented across the enterprise landscape.

Working closely with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Data Governance teams and business SMEs, you will help strengthen information architecture, improve consistency of business terminology and ensure projects align with agreed enterprise data standards. You will also support the operationalisation of DCAM principles, particularly across Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Operations and the Data Control Environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyse and document enterprise conceptual data models, business information structures and relationships between key Information Objects.
  • Define, document and maintain Information Objects and enterprise inventories, supporting completeness, consistency and traceability.
  • Maintain the enterprise data glossary, helping establish clear and consistent business terminology across projects and domains.
  • Gather and analyse business and data requirements, identifying data dependencies, ownership, quality considerations and impacts across processes and systems.
  • Apply your knowledge of the DCAM Framework to support maturity assessments and translate data management and governance objectives into practical requirements, controls and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, Data Management, Data Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience defining and documenting business information models, conceptual data models or enterprise data structures, with an understanding of data normalisation and modelling.
  • Good knowledge of enterprise data governance and data management principles, including working knowledge of DCAM component areas and maturity models.
  • Strong requirements analysis and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, architecture, governance and technology teams.
  • Clear documentation and communication skills, with an analytical approach to translating complex data management concepts into practical requirements.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working with enterprise information or metadata repositories.
  • Financial Services experience, particularly within Investment Management, Wealth Management or Sovereign Fund Management.
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance or data transformation programmes.
