How you will create an impact


Looking for an energetic Business Data Analyst to identify business intelligence and data analysis needs for AIG. This individual will work closely with Business and Technical teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be leveraged to make sound business decisions. Business Analysts must understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:


·         Essential to be able to build an understanding of the business at a level of detail to identify and address critical issues
Work with clients to determine business requirements priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and support defining our ongoing BI & Data Warehouse strategy

·         Engage business and development teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports

·         Accountable for providing project leadership including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management

·         Conducting analysis of functional business processes and functional business requirements and drive the development of user stories as a member of an Agile Scrum Team

·         Educate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool, displaying the information as content for the purpose of analysis with the option to explore
Influence is limited to area of specialization and unit/team

 

 What you'll need to succeed

 

•    BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience
•    3+ Years of Business Data Analyst Experience
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
•    Strong critical thinking & problem-solving competency with the ability to research complex data-oriented problems
•    Proactive and results-driven with a positive can-do attitude
•    Excels in a team environment (distributed)


Other Skills and Experience:
•    Commercial Insurance and Financial principles preferred.
•    Experience working on an Agile team as a BA
•    Data profiling
•    Strong SQL skills
•    Proficient in Word, MS Excel and Visio
•    Technical experience with BI Tools and Python is a plus.
•    Exposure to APIs and understanding of XML and JSON language preferred.
•    Exposure to AI

The base salary range for this position is 85,000-110,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
