Field Work Arrangement: This is a field-based position that requires up to 75% travel to dealerships within the assigned territory on a recurring basis. The selected candidate must currently reside within the territory or be willing to relocate to Johnstown / Harrisburg, PA or a surrounding area approved by leadership within 60 days of the start date.
The Role
Help shape the future of two iconic brands as they continue to evolve through innovation, premium experiences, and advanced mobility solutions. As a District Sales Manager, you'll partner directly with dealerships to drive business performance, launch new technologies and vehicles, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across the Buick and GMC portfolio. This fast-paced, relationship-driven role offers the opportunity to influence outcomes, solve complex business challenges, and play a key role in the future of automotive retail.
What You'll Do
  • Act as a liaison between GM, its dealerships, and additional GM Partners
  • Grow and foster partnerships
  • Facilitate mentorship and consulting to ensure monthly/yearly sales objectives are met
  • Track dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) or other customer feedback resources to identify and address deficiencies or opportunities
  • Assist in product launches to ensure streamlined marketing and advertising between dealer, independent aftermarket (IAM) and GM
  • Monitor Dealership personnel training and ensure compliance with GM requirements/objectives
  • Assist with Dealership inventory management, including vehicle and or parts ordering and inventory stabilizing
  • Analyze Dealer sales, local market, and competition to identify revenue opportunities
  • Increase sales of GM vehicles and Accessory parts to its customers
  • Assist in customer problem resolution
  • Travel to your dealers in your designated region

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years' experience in Sales, Marketing, or related fields with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to different locations within your territory
  • Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the licensing requirements of the states in which work is performed

The selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility in Johnstown/Harrisburg, PA.

This role is categorized as remote; however, the selected candidate must live in an approved city within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate. The candidate will be required to relocate, or already reside in the approved city no later than the timeline provided at offer.
The selected candidate will be required to travel at least 50% or more on a frequent basis.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
