The Intuit Credit Karma Intern Program is a 7-11 week paid internship located in Charlotte, NC. During your internship, you will be placed on a team where you will work on meaningful projects that help Credit Karma fulfill our mission to make financial progress possible for everyone. Interns have the opportunity to participate in weekly meetings, team outings, events, and discussions with Credit Karma leadership. Credit Karma is looking for a Brand Marketing Intern to play an important role in shaping how our brand shows up in an increasingly integrated marketing ecosystem. As part of the Brand Strategy team, you’ll be on the front lines of understanding our audiences, culture and category – helping translate insights into clearer, more compelling brand and creative direction. 

You’ll support the team as we evolve how Credit Karma brings our positioning to life across channels, audiences and moments. This role is ideal for someone who is curious about people, brands and culture – and excited to learn how big ideas turn into integrated marketing in the real world. 

You will join a cohort of other Interns and learn the skills needed for a future career in marketing, strategy and technology. Our leadership will guide you through an apprenticeship-style learning environment with personalized coaching and mentorship. You'll have areas of ownership from day one, with self-guided projects supported by instruction delivered by senior members of the Brand Strategy team. 

Please note: Our internship program will be in-person in Charlotte, NC.

What you'll do:
  • Keep a pulse on cultural, consumer and category trends, surfacing insights to the Brand Strategy team to inform creative briefs and integrated marketing planning
  • Support exploration of Credit Karma’s audience segmentation, helping translate segments into human truths, storytelling opportunities and creative inspiration
  • Conduct competitive and creative audits across finance and adjacent categories to understand how brands show up across channels
  • Partner with Brand Strategy, Research, Product Marketing and Creative teams to shape strategic inputs for campaigns and initiatives 
  • Assist in mapping how brand initiatives show up across the funnel and across channels, identifying opportunities for stronger integration 
  • Synthesize insights into clear, compelling presentations and frameworks that can be used by cross-functional partners 

Minimum basic requirements

  • Candidates must be in at least their first or second year of college and enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program
  • Strong interest in brand strategy, marketing, advertising or consumer insights

  • A deep fascination and interest for consumer behavior and what makes people – especially Gen Z – TikTok
  • Interest in how brands show up across paid, owned and in-product experiences
  • Self-motivated, thoughtful and detail-oriented with a strong point of view
  • Passion for mission-drive brands and/or personal finance
