The Boeing Global Services Engineering Capabilities organization is seeking an experienced leader to join the team in St. Louis, MO. This position is for a first line leader of both the WSMAC (Weapon Systems Maintenance Action Center) Team providing Support Engineering services to Aircraft Delivery Center Operations as well as the Rapid Sustainment Engineering (RSE) Team.
As the WSMAC manager, this leader will have direct reports performing retrieval of technical data as required by Ground Operations Procedures to assist manufacturing personnel in final assembly and installations operations check out. The WSMAC Team also performs aircrew debriefing functions for later review and analysis by Boeing, DCMA, and Customer aircrew personnel.
As the RSE manager, this leader will have direct reports who drive innovation in Structural Design and Additive Manufacturing to support all DLA platforms including commercial derivative and military aircraft programs. The RSE Team focuses on implementing advanced manufacturing processes to produce hard-to-source spare parts, reduce lead times, and meet customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
- Experience in aerospace related manufacturing operations or production support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Degree in Business or Engineering Management
- Experience with Advanced Manufacturing, including Additive Manufacturing
- Management experience
- Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple organizations
- Ability/experience identifying and implementing Cost Reduction Initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong tactical decision-making ability
