Baler Operator - Press Shop

Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

• Keep both the steel and aluminum scrap area clean
• Keep press shop basement clean and in safe conditions
• Empty scrap hoppers with press shop and assembly scrap into lose scrap pit
• Load lose scrap from our holding pit into the baler to make bales
• Load trucks with baled scrap material and generate packing slips
• Overlook the aluminum scrap area and sign packing slip when trailers are being picked up
• Keep scrap conveyor clean and maintained Tension up conveyor drive chains as needed
• Keep up with baler PM's as required
• Perform daily checks and preventative maintenance
• Perform other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• 80% Standing and walking
• 10 % Sitting
• 10% Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, or balancing

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• One to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must have a crane license
• Must have a fork truck license

Pay range: $19.55 - $24.48 per hour
