Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking an AVP, Product Owner within the Product Management organization to drive workflow transformation across Operations. This role is responsible for converting high-impact operational workflows into scalable, compliant, and outcome-driven products—leveraging automation and AI where it meaningfully improves advisor experience, operational efficiency, and safe growth in a regulated financial services environment.

The AVP, Product Owner is directly accountable for the end-to-end execution and outcomes of workflow transformation initiatives. This includes defining product strategy, prioritizing delivery, and ensuring measurable business impact. The role focuses on redesigning legacy and manual processes into modern, orchestrated solutions that balance deterministic automation with AI-assisted capabilities—always emphasizing transparency, governance, and operational resilience.

As a trusted partner to Operations, Technology, Data, and Risk leaders, this individual applies an AI‑informed product mindset to modernize how work gets done, owning the full lifecycle of workflow products from discovery through delivery and adoption. While serving as Product Owner for Scrum teams, this role also contributes to LPL’s broader digital and AI transformation through disciplined execution and sustained value realization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end execution and outcomes of Operations workflow transformation initiatives, from problem discovery through delivery, adoption, and value realization.

  • Modernize legacy and manual workflows into scalable, orchestrated, automation‑led products, applying AI where it clearly improves outcomes.

  • Deliver measurable improvements in advisor experience, cycle time, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure workflows are operationally resilient, compliant, and explainable, with appropriate controls and governance for a regulated environment.

  • Reimagine high‑value Operations workflows using an automation‑first mindset, selectively incorporating AI‑assisted capabilities where they add business value.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Risk & Compliance to design fit‑for‑purpose workflow solutions.

  • Own a portfolio of workflow products, balancing near‑term efficiency gains with long‑term scalability and reuse.

  • Define and communicate clear product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to Operations priorities and enterprise objectives.

  • Translate business problems into prioritized features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and outcome‑based success measures.

  • Serve as the single accountable Product Owner for assigned Scrum teams, driving disciplined agile execution and delivery readiness.

  • Manage dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality solutions.

  • Support executive‑level governance through transparent reporting on progress, benefits realization, and risks.

  • Partner with stakeholders to drive adoption through change management, training, and operational readiness.

  • Contribute to LPL’s digital and AI transformation by establishing best practices for workflow product ownership and responsible AI usage.

  • Clear, data‑driven communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
