Job Overview:

As Assistant Vice President of Strategic Technology Partnerships, you'll play a vital role in advancing the organizations growth strategy developing and managing high-impact strategic partnerships. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying partnership opportunities that align with company and business objectives and enhance our market position. You'll oversee the full partnership lifecycle, working in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, from initial business case alignment and concepts through to execution and implementational. This includes leading efforts that are integral to inorganic growth strategy, ensuring the roles high visibility and significant impact with the organization

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute partnership strategy 

  • Develop and lead the strategy to source and execute impactful partnerships with technology firms across company size - startups to mature enterprise partners

  • Establish a framework to track and measure financial and strategic ROI over multiple horizons.

  • Develop, lead and build a high performing entrepreneurial team, fostering growth mindset.

  • Nurture and growth relationships with internal business leaders, inclusive of a strong feedback loop to align on goals and long term objectives.

  • Synthesize partnership experience into future oriented insights to inform thematic focus areas and support the company's innovation agenda.

  • Lead end-to-end partnership processes, from identification to execution.

  • Partner across lines of business to define and coordinate execution of cross company solutions that represent expanded partner opportunities.

  • Negotiate and structure complex agreements.

  • Foster relationships with the emerging technology community, venture capital firms and emerging startups.

  • Coordinate with leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding of partnerships process.

  • Work closely with internal teams to promote collaboration and implement initiatives that drive deeper alignment with partnerships and business and product strategy.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends to identify new partnership opportunities.

  • Act as a thought leader, contributing to strategic discussions with senior leadership.

  • Build and mentor a high performing strategic partnerships team 

  • Analyze market fit, realize and articulate business value and track adoption of new and existing partnerships

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, ensuring the sales team is equipped with actionable insights.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders on behalf of technology partners to understand their needs and requirements.

  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding progress and outcomes related to these partnerships.

  • Develop strategies for leveraging technology partnerships to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant technology platforms, helping to educate internal stakeholders on their features and benefits.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years managing strategic partnerships within wealth management, financial services, technology or corporate innovation.

  • Experience in relationship management and negotiations

  • Experience managing multiple, concurrent initiatives, with a focus on delivering long term strategic and financial value individually and in aggregate

  • Experience building and managing high performance teams, developing talent, fostering cross functional collaboration and aligning innovation strategies with corporate goals

Core Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office with executive level PPT presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to lead transformative projects within a corporate environment

  • Ability to envision future trends and translate them into actionable strategies

  • Strong decision-making skills to actively adjust the partnerships portfolio based on progress, risk, opportunity, and market trends

  • Strong network in the startup and wealth management ecosystems, with experiencing sourcing and forming trusted alliances

  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage partnerships, joint ventures, co-development agreements

  • Executive presence and story-telling:

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior executive to accelerate strategic initiatives

  • Financial acumen & ROI tracking:

  • Ability to establish and implement OKR frameworks for tracking value/ROI and reporting on business impact across multiple horizons

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience managing budgets, resource allocation and operation processes to maximize team efficiency and project impact

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services

  • High IQ and EQ - with a proven track record of leading teams and managing cross functional initiatives


 

Pay Range:

$109,688-$182,813/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
