Job Overview:
As an AVP on the Research Experience team, you will lead the Ask LPL Research function, overseeing a team that serves as a front-line extension of LPL Research. The team translates investment perspectives, portfolio guidance, and market insights from LPL’s strategists and analysts into timely, high-quality support delivered to advisors via phone and email consultation.

In parallel, you will partner closely with the Vice President, Research Experience to drive business management, operational execution, and strategic initiatives across the LPL Research organization.

This role sits at the intersection of advisor engagement, research delivery, and business operations, requiring a balance of leadership, analytical thinking, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Ask LPL Research function, overseeing team operations, advisor inquiry management, and delivery of a consistent, high-quality advisor experience that reflects LPL Research insights and recommendations
  • Ensure the Ask LPL Research team functions as a seamless extension of LPL’s strategists and analysts, translating investment perspectives into clear, actionable guidance for advisors
  • Partner with the Vice President, Research Experience to execute strategic initiatives, manage priorities, and support business planning, reporting, and communications
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across workflows, including KPI development, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a key liaison across LPL Research and other internal teams to ensure alignment and enhance the advisor experience

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial services, investment research, or corporate finance
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, financial modeling, pivot tables, macros) with working knowledge of PowerPoint for presenting analytical findings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment

Preferences:

  • Experience managing or leading a team
  • Experience supporting advisor-facing or client service functions
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

 

Pay Range:

$100,734.00 - $167,890.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
