Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking an AVP, Product Manager to support the Identity & Access Management (IAM) product area. This role is responsible for helping define, prioritize, and deliver IAM capabilities that enable secure, seamless access experiences across the firm for advisors, employees, and clients.

The Product Manager will work at the intersection of product, technology, cybersecurity, operations, risk, and business teams to drive execution against the IAM roadmap. This role is accountable for translating business needs and control requirements into clear product priorities, partnering closely with delivery teams, and supporting adoption of IAM capabilities that improve user experience, strengthen controls, and advance operational efficiency.

As a key contributor within LPL’s Product organization, this individual will help manage the product lifecycle for IAM capabilities from discovery and prioritization through delivery, release, and continuous improvement. This role is well suited for a strong product leader who thrives in complex environments, is comfortable working across stakeholders, and can bring structure and clarity to platform-oriented work.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the IAM product strategy, roadmap, and delivery priorities aligned to business objectives, user needs, and risk considerations.

  • Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders to define product requirements and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans.

  • Own prioritization of features, enhancements, defects, and technical dependencies for assigned IAM capabilities.

  • Create, refine, and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support effective agile delivery.

  • Serve as the primary product partner for Scrum teams supporting IAM capabilities, ensuring alignment between stakeholder needs and delivery execution.

  • Support product delivery through backlog management, release planning, dependency coordination, readiness activities, and post-release follow-up.

  • Gather and synthesize feedback from users, stakeholders, and partner teams to inform product decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor product adoption, delivery outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities and inform roadmap tradeoffs.

  • Collaborate across teams to maintain alignment on priorities, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.

  • Help prepare product updates, roadmap materials, and progress reporting for leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Partner with control and technology teams to ensure IAM solutions support appropriate standards for security, resiliency, accessibility, and operational effectiveness.

  • Stay current on IAM trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to inform product enhancements and delivery decisions.

  • Contribute to the evolution of product management practices within the IAM domain, including stakeholder engagement, execution discipline, and ways of working.

What Are We Looking For?

  • We’re looking for a collaborative product leader who can help deliver secure, scalable solutions in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across cross-functional teams, navigating competing priorities, and translating technical and business needs into clear product actions.

  • This person brings a strong execution mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to drive progress through influence, communication, and disciplined follow-through. They should be energized by solving enterprise platform challenges and delivering improvements that balance user experience, security, and business value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related role within technology-enabled environments.

  • 3+ years of experience working in agile delivery environments with direct responsibility for backlog management, prioritization, or product execution.

  • Experience translating business needs, user feedback, and technical constraints into product requirements, user stories, and delivery priorities.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with technology, security, operations, risk, and business stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting delivery of enterprise platforms, internal-facing products, or shared capabilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions.

Preferences

  • Experience in Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform domains.

  • Familiarity with IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, access governance, federation, privileged access, and directory services.

  • Exposure to IAM platforms such as Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, or Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Experience operating in financial services or other regulated environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
