Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking an experienced marketing professional to drive our content and media strategy in support of advisor acquisition and business growth. As AVP, Marketing of content and media strategy, you will serve as the lead for earned, sponsored, and partner media programs while overseeing the development of content that strengthens LPL's market position, elevates brand awareness, and engages advisor prospects across the buyer journey. 

This role combines media partnership management, content strategy, campaign development, and performance measurement. You will collaborate closely with Prospect Marketing, Business Development, Sales Enablement, Communications, Digital Marketing, Content, Creative, and external media partners to ensure a cohesive market presence and meaningful prospect engagement. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, operational excellence, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller, skilled content marketer, and strong relationship manager with experience overseeing integrated media programs and developing content that drives measurable business results. 

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the content and media strategy for prospect marketing, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth priorities.  
  • Oversee the plan including securing media placements and sponsorships as well as budget management. 
  • Define and maintain content and messaging themes, calendars, and roadmaps that support advisor acquisition goals. 
  • Collaborate day-to-day with our external media partners in partnership with our agency partners.  
  • Develop integrated media campaigns across sponsored content, digital media, email, webinars, podcasts and social media to create awareness and generate leads. 
  • Execute the development of placement and campaign assets including content and various digital assets.  
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to coordinate interviews and approvals.  
  • Develop and manage content across LPL.com, blogs, white papers, articles, social and other LPL-owned channels.  
  • Ensure content remains current and relevant through ongoing content audits, updates, optimization, and performance analysis.  
  • Establish campaign KPIs, track media and content performance, and provide actionable recommendations to improve reach, engagement, and conversion outcomes.  
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Communications, Creative, Digital, and Analytics teams to deliver a consistent and impactful advisor prospect experience.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, media marketing, strategic marketing, communications, or related marketing disciplines.  
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns and content strategies that delivered measurable business results.  
  • 5+ years’ experience managing media partnerships, sponsored content programs, placement plans, budgets, and multi-channel campaign execution.  
  • 5+ years’ experience developing compelling content and messaging for audiences across digital, email, web, thought leadership, and sales enablement channels.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.

  • Content strategy, storytelling, and thought leadership development.  
  • Media planning, partnership management, and campaign execution.  
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong project management and operational discipline.  
  • Data-driven decision making, performance measurement, and campaign optimization.  
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
Preferences:
  • Experience within wealth management, financial services, fintech, or advisor-facing organizations.  
  • Experience working with external agencies, publishers, industry media organizations, and executives.  
  • Background in content marketing or prospect marketing. 

 

Pay Range:

$106,605.00 - $177,572.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
