Job Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the VP of Credit Analytics – Loss Forecasting, this position supports and leads key aspects of the Account Level Analytic System (AtLAS) model, focusing on loss forecasting, balance redevelopment, and portfolio performance monitoring. The role requires deep analysis of forecast outcomes—including quarterly forecasts, annual planning, stress testing, and scenario analysis—to inform stakeholders on expected credit portfolio performance under varying conditions. A critical function is ongoing portfolio monitoring aligned with model outcomes to ensure data integrity and provide insights into emerging trends.
This role provides a great opportunity to continue developing analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, to gain Cross-Functional broadening experiences as well as to learn how data can provide powerful insights on emerging performance tends that can be leveraged to drive company credit decisions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Regularly monitor portfolio credit metrics at client/segment levels and develop mechanisms to detect emerging trends within large datasets
 - Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover root causes and drivers of emerging portfolio trends
 - Collaborate with analysts to shape forecast assumptions for the AtLAS model suite
 - Critically evaluate client/segment forecast outputs for reasonableness against assumptions and historical data
 - Prepare and present analytical findings, forecast assumptions, and model outcomes to senior leadership
 - Continuously monitor key model inputs, identifying impacts and performing root cause analysis
 - Contribute to redevelopment and enhancement of balance models, integrating data, statistical techniques, and business insights
 - Support documentation and procedural enhancements adhering to regulatory and internal model risk standards
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3+ years of experience in a credit, risk, finance, business or data science related field
 - Proven hands-on experience utilizing SAS or SQL data mining skills as well as open-source tools such as Python, PySpark, R
 - Strong skills in visualizing data for managerial decision-making.
 - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel (intermediate/advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Grade/Level: 10
The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
