About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager (Associate Manager Software Engineer) with a strong track record of managing medium-to-large-scale projects within the life insurance and annuity business domain. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high team morale and ensuring customer satisfaction.

As a critical contributor to DXC’s delivery success, the Project Manager will focus on driving business value for our customers and helping the DXC business grow. The ideal candidate is a servant leader, and an effective team player with proven project management expertise, strong analytical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Resolve team impediments and interpersonal conflicts.
  • Escalate issues that may affect delivery timelines or scope.
  • Track and manage project budget, forecasts, and costs.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, including business users and sponsors.
  • Provide clear and timely status reports and metrics to DXC and client leadership.
  • Produce dashboards and KPIs to track project health and progress.
  • Maximize resource utilization while promoting work-life balance and avoiding burnout.
  • Collaborate with other DXC project managers, leads, and SMEs to align with DXC and client methodologies.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and feedback-driven team culture that supports continuous learning and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management.
  • 2+ years of working experience in Life Insurance and Annuity industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience of managing or working as team member of Pplus/DSS delivery team.
  • Prior experience of working with DXC insurance Products.
  • Some level of working knowledge of technologies such as Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, DB2), SQL, Micro Focus, AWS etc.
  • Career progression from a technical background to a project management role.
  • Working knowledge of various software delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban.

Work Environment

  • Remote work within the United States, with the flexibility to work from customer locations if required.
  • Willingness to occasionally align with India time zone and provide support during key deployments, including weekends or extended hours when necessary.

Must have a Valid indefinite US Work Permit

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,100 - $156,100.
