The Transformation Communications Lead for Technology, in partnership with the Senior Director of Technology Communications, will lead the digitally focused internal and multimedia communications efforts to drive our key technology initiatives for employees.

As a key member of the Technology Communications team, the Assoc. Director - Technology Transformation Communications will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Digital Core and our capability centers in India.

A highly-skilled communicator with attention to detail, this role will ensure communications are clear, consistent and strategically aligned to the company’s business objectives. They will navigate a highly matrixed structure, collaborate with colleagues across many business units, and interact with leaders.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
  • Lead internal communications for Digital Core and India-based technology initiatives, focusing on driving employee adoption and engagement.
  • Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM) leads to develop and implement change communications strategies for digital transformation projects, demonstrating their impact on the business.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to drive internal adoption of new technologies and processes, highlighting their role in simplifying work and learning.
  • Create engaging content and communication materials to support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring coordination with Lilly's global narrative.
  • Establish and track key communication metrics to measure effectiveness and impact, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
  • Engaging and managing vendors and tracking vendor-spend for communications activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in a communications, public relations or related role.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.
Strong Preferences:
  • Experience in leading communications for digital transformation projects within a large, global organization.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and practices, with a focus on driving internal engagement.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement impactful communication strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers and internal leaders at higher levels of the organization.
Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Proven success coordinating multiple enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI communication tools and digital platforms.
  • Understanding of technology rollouts, especially those requiring internal adoption and behavior change.
  • Attention to detail the ability to grasp and focus on the big picture.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as a team, and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to be a flexible teammate, act quickly and meet timelines with the highest ethical and business standards.
Additional Information
  • Domestic and international travel may be required a few times annually.
  • Indianapolis-based is preferred. Hybrid work schedule allowed.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$122,250 - $179,300

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
