Location: Charlotte, NC // Hybrid: 3 days/week (Tuesday - Thursday)

 

About the job: 

We are looking for an Associate Creative Director to join our team as a skilled individual contributor with management experience, overseeing our acquisition marketing experiences. The Associate Director is responsible for: 

  • Setting and executing the overall creative marketing strategy in acquisition campaigns across all channels (may flex to other servicing areas as needed). 

  • Maintaining creative marketing assets across landing pages and other web-based assets, in-app marketing, emails, and print assets, ensuring high standard of quality and creative cohesion at every touchpoint. 

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product marketing, strategy, and external partners to both implement new campaigns and optimize existing ones for performance, targeting, and conversion. 

  • Leading creative work with external partners, ensuring high quality and on time delivery. 

  • Staying informed on industry trends and customer behaviors to inform creative decisions  

  • Maintaining and innovating on the BrightWay design system. 

As a senior team member you’re also an integral part of running our marketing and design teams on a daily basis. You’re mentoring junior team members and helping to define your teams process such as critiques and team meetings, ensuring an engaged, supported, and productive team. 

  

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in either agency, startup, or early-stage product environments designing consumer facing digital experiences, preferably with new to market products. 

  • Minimum  5 years experience in the digital marketing space; showing proven results in marketing campaigns across digital channels. 

  • Proficiency working in cross-functional teams, strategically partnering with product managers, marketers, and engineers. 

  • Ability to turn insights and data into design decisions that influence our product and marketing strategies. 

  • Expertise building successful and engaging marketing campaigns, preferably for financial products.  

  • Experience owning and/or maintaining a successful design system. 

  • Strong UX, information hierarchy and customer journey mapping capabilities. 

  • Strong visual design competency and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts and solutions. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an understanding of when to both define and defend the rationale behind decisions. 

  • A strong bias for action. 

  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Suite, Confluence, and Jira. 

  • Web code or adjacent experience a nice to have.
