About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate - Client Intelligence & Analytics, Inventory Finance (Senior Analytics Consultant) to join Inventory Finance group. The Associate will stand up and build a new client intelligence and analytics capability for the Inventory Finance business. This is a foundational, build-oriented role responsible for turning fragmented data into actionable insight on client behavior, portfolio performance, and commercial opportunity. In addition to establishing the core capability, the Associate will serve as the analytical engine for the broader business, delivering ad hoc analytics that support strategic and operational decision-making.
In this role, you will:
  • Build out the client intelligence capability from the ground up - defining data sources, establishing reporting and analytics infrastructure, and creating a structured, repeatable view of the client base.
  • Develop client segmentation, profitability, and behavioral analyses that inform commercial strategy, pricing, cross-sell, and retention decisions.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting that give leadership a reliable, data-driven view of business and portfolio performance.
  • Own ad hoc analytics across the business - scoping requests with stakeholders and delivering rigorous, time-sensitive quantitative analysis.
  • Partner across business, technology, risk, and operations to source data, validate insights, and embed analytics into decision-making.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
  • Lead or participate on large cross group projects
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline (e.g., finance, economics, statistics, data analytics).
  • Experience in analytics, data analysis, consulting, or a related field; financial services or lending experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into business insight.
  • Self-starter comfortable building a capability from scratch in a fast-changing environment.
Job Expectations:
  • Travel up to. 10%
  • Willingness to work on-site in one of the listed locations.
