Assistant Operations Manager
The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily performance and execution of branch operations. This role assists in managing safety, productivity, personnel, equipment, and customer service to ensure efficient and profitable operations. The Assistant Operations Manager plays a key role in helping the team achieve revenue goals, maintain high-quality standards, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Support & Performance
- Assist in managing daily branch operations to meet sales, revenue, and profitability targets
- Support monitoring of job progress to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
- Help track production output and ensure alignment with established man-day goals
- Assist in developing production forecasts and operational plans
- Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate with internal teams to communicate job scopes and customer requirements
Team Leadership & Personnel Support
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of field personnel, supervisors, and assistant managers
- Reinforce company standards, safety protocols, and performance expectations
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching to ensure quality workmanship
- Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive, high-morale work environment
- Assist with personnel actions including scheduling, evaluations, and corrective actions
- Help ensure the safety and well-being of all employees
Customer Relations & Communication
- Maintain strong customer relationships and support high satisfaction levels
- Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, logistics, and job updates
- Confirm job details including timing, scope, and completion status
- Address customer concerns and help ensure expectations are met or exceeded
Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in developing weekly work schedules, including site assignments and crew allocation
- Help coordinate roof access, safety planning, and job execution logistics
- Assign tasks, crews, and equipment under the direction of the Operations Manager
- Identify and help resolve scheduling and communication challenges
Equipment & Resource Coordination
- Support management of company equipment and resources
- Coordinate delivery and use of lifts and specialized equipment
- Help ensure equipment is maintained in safe working condition
- Assist in monitoring operational costs and daily expenditures
Field Oversight
- Support supervision of field operations, including:
- Window cleaning
- Pressure cleaning
- Waterproofing
- Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and productivity standards
Quality Control & Administration
- Assist with safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance reviews
- Track and report job progress, workforce productivity, and performance metrics
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Ability to support revenue growth while maintaining cost control
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning operations (window cleaning, pressure cleaning, waterproofing) preferred
