Assistant Manager - Private Client
Location: Jersey
Department: Private Client
Contract Type: Permanent, Hybrid/Onsite
35 hours per week
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Private Client team in Jersey. This specialist team supports wealthy families, family offices, and owner-managed businesses. You'll manage a portfolio of trust structures and play a key role in delivering high-quality service, mentoring junior team members, and driving operational improvements.
This role suits someone with strong technical knowledge of trust structures, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Work closely with your team to manage a portfolio of private clients across a variety of structures.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on trust structures and stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners, communicating openly and professionally.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement ideas to improve daily task efficiencies and support financial processes including aged debt review and cash collections.
  • Team Support: Mentor and supervise junior team members, offering guidance and support.
  • Commercial Awareness: Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines and jurisdictions.
  • Time Management: Ensure accurate time recording for client matters to support billing and recovery.

Your Profile
  • Proven experience in a similar trust administration role
  • Studying towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CGI, STEP or equivalent)
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong academic background
  • Proactive and forward-thinking
  • Broad understanding of fiduciary products
