We’re currently looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Firestone Fibers and Textiles (FSFT) team in Kings Mountain, NC.
This role will be responsible for involvement in all finance activities at FSFT including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax Reporting. The role also provides financial guidance and support to other functions such as Treasury, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Logistics, etc. The role is also responsible for aiding in establishing and maintaining adequate control over all financial transactions and reporting as well as providing accurate and meaningful management reports to local and Corporate Management.
Firestone Fibers and Textiles (FSFT) is owned by Bridgestone Americas and manufactures Tire Cord, Liners, and Fabrics which are used in construction of tires and other commercial applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA or MBA preferred

• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, financial planning and analysis, budgets, and forecasts

• Minimum 2-3 years in manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience in financial closing cycles

• Experience developing financial models and capital expenditure models

• Expertise in Microsoft Office primarily Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
