Hitachi Energy is seeking an innovative Application Engineering Specialist to support our Transformers business by developing and delivering technical solutions that make a meaningful impact for our customers. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, engage directly with customers, and turn complex challenges into clear, value‑driven solutions. You’ll prepare technical presentations, craft solution‑focused documentation, and provide essential engineering insight that strengthens customer relationships and drives long‑term success.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

This is a remote position, with 30%–50% travel required.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with product management and business development to shape application strategies.

  • Support sales teams through technical training, presentations, and solution expertise.

  • Provide consultative engineering support to production and operations teams.

  • Develop and promote effective tools, equipment, and methods for transformer components.

  • Lead advanced engineering assignments using innovative techniques.

  • Drive improvements that elevate customer satisfaction and product acceptance.

  • Coordinate testing, manufacturing, and installation activities.

  • Serve as a technical liaison for internal teams and external customers.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transformer components or related engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of design, manufacturing, and testing processes.

  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience providing customer‑facing technical support is a plus.
