Application Administrator – Our Brand Technology

As part of the Our Brands Technology team, the Application Administrator position supports the core ERP application for Ferguson’s portfolio of operating companies. This position provides domain expertise on the Sage X3 ERP solutions and integrations and evaluating end-to-end business impacts.

Location: This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the administration, installation, deployment, configuration, testing, and maintenance of the Sage X3 platform, ensuring optimal performance, maximized workflow efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. This includes but is not limited to the setup and configuration on system parameters, workflow creation and management, integration support, data flow processes and end user functionality.
  • Work with internal team members, key collaborators, and vendor contacts to maintain the application and bridge support between local teams and vendor partner concerns.
  • Support troubleshooting activities, identifying and resolving problems to ensure uninterrupted application functionality. Proactively monitor application performance to prevent service disruption.
  • Manage user accounts and roles in alignment with controls, governance and security standards.
  • Arrange for the proper creation, maintenance, and storage of comprehensive system documentation, including configuration details, workflows, troubleshooting guides, and adherence to standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams and business collaborators, including product management, sales, service, supply chain, operations, and distribution, through regular meetings and collaborative projects.
  • Adhere to company compliance, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance as a diligent team member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing and administering Sage X3, including data configuration, workflows, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with application configuration and settings, understanding how to set up users, processes, jobs and workflows.
  • Understanding of API integrations, data feeds, and system interoperability.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in application configurations and documentation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multi-functional teams, such as participating in project meetings and providing training, and communicating technical concepts to non-technical partners.
  • Familiarity with data security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing Sage ERP or other industry standard ERP solutions, preferably Sage X3.
  • Prior experience supporting distribution businesses or brands.
  • Experience with multi organization instance structure and managing business processes across functional units of the organization.
  • Familiarity with plumbing, hardware, and lighting product categories a plus.

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$5,444.76 - $9,537.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
