The Barings Analyst Program offers recent graduates a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to private equity through co-investment and fund-to-fund strategies with the Diversified Alternative Equity team. During the program, Analysts work closely with senior investment professionals to support underwriting, portfolio management, and market research across a range of asset classes. The program begins with formal training and quickly transitions into live deal work, mentorship, and professional development through Lunch & Learns, networking, and team-building events. Analysts are fully integrated into the team as value-add contributors, with top performers considered for full-time roles upon completion.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in underwriting and evaluating investment opportunities across alternative asset classes
  • Build financial models and conduct valuation analyses
  • Support portfolio monitoring, reporting, and amendment processes
  • Conduct market research and participate in due diligence efforts
  • Engage in training, mentorship, and cross-functional team activities

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Graduation date of May or June 2026
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data sources and financial publications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Willingness to travel (<25%)
