Job Summary & Responsibilities

Summary of Position

The AI & Process Automation Analyst is responsible for building automation, AI-enabled tools, and data-driven solutions that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and create capacity across the program. This is a hands-on technical builder role embedded alongside business stakeholders. The individual identifies practical opportunities, develops working solutions using approved tools and languages, documents those solutions for governance and audit purposes, and partners with enterprise Technology and AI teams when a solution needs to scale beyond a self-contained build.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides distinctive service to internal business partners and stakeholders across the program. Responds to requests and satisfactorily resolves issues related to automation, data, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Designs, builds, tests, and implements automation and AI-enabled solutions using Python, Power Automate, Power Platform, Copilot, and other approved tools.
  • Automates recurring reporting, data collection, notifications, and manual administrative processes to reduce manual effort and create capacity across production and support teams.
  • Develops self-contained AI use cases, such as Copilot workflows, prompt assets, and document or knowledge tools, that do not require major system changes.
  • Develops Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Solution Design (SD) documentation for each automation, including intended business purpose, data sources, logic, controls, and support requirements.
  • Tests, implements, and supports solutions after go-live, and identifies when a solution should be handed to enterprise Technology/AI teams for scaling.
  • Uses CoPilot, Cowork and/or Claude Code and other approved agentic coding tools to accelerate development, debugging, and testing of automation and AI solutions, in accordance with the firm's AI usage policy.
  • Analyzes data sources, structure, and flow to understand how information moves across program processes. Writes scripts and queries (Python, SQL) to extract, clean, validate, and connect data for automation and reporting use cases.
  • Documents data flows and dependencies well enough for others to understand, maintain, and build on the solution.
  • Works directly with process owners to understand pain points and translate them into practical technical opportunities. Recommends simplified workflows before automating them, so automation is not just paving over a broken process.
  • Develops test cases, performs initial testing, supports user acceptance testing, and assists business partners in validating automation and AI-enabled solutions before implementation.
  • Partners with Model Risk Management, as needed, to support appropriate review, validation, documentation, and governance of AI-enabled or model-related solutions.
  • Supports intake and prioritization of new automation and AI ideas, and tracks benefits realized (hours saved, errors reduced, cycle time improved).
  • Maintains current knowledge of approved automation, AI, and low-code tools, platforms, and firm policies governing their use.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships across Operations, Governance, Analytics, Technology, QA, and Managed Services teams to support delivery of automation and AI priorities.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Meets all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refers clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
  • Assists other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
