The Team

As an Affiliate Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and growing strong partner relationships with existing key accounts, as well as identifying growth opportunities, managing an efficient sales funnel, and increasing our web affiliates partner network in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help Welcome Pickups grow across the network.

Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Sales Management:

  • Identify and drive growth opportunities 
  • Help build and roll out a global affiliate strategy to acquire affiliates
  • Negotiate and review commercial agreements with partners
  • Exceed sales and revenue targets by effectively managing quarterly goals
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, lead handling, video call demos, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with affiliates.

Partnership Development:

  • Analyze, target, and proactively approach potential affiliates in the travel industry.
  • Execute cost-effective channels to bring in new qualified leads.
  • Generate new leads through email, auto-email sequences, community management, etc.
  • Prepare marketing/sales material and data to showcase benefits for partners.
  • Perform effective face-to-face and online demos for outbound and inbound prospects.

Customer Success & Partner Retention:

  • Successfully onboard contracted partners and help them in the implementation process
  • Ensure Customer Success and Support partner retention efforts by managing the existing portfolio of partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for web affiliates.
  • Resolve day-to-day account management issues, including invoicing and partner support.
  • Provide proactive account management by presenting solutions to affiliate partners as well as suggesting ideas/methods to increase revenue through copywriting techniques, promotional channels and unique marketing tactics
  • Streamline processes, tools, and workflows for efficient partner onboarding.
  • Monitor partner performance and provide ongoing input for scalable solutions.
  • Develop strategies, execute partner success plans and report on key metrics to ensure retention
  • Recommend process and implementation improvements

Sales Excellence & Reporting:

  • Keep an updated CRM (Hubspot) with Contacts and Company leads.
  • Prepare reports on account status, partner performance, and sales forecasts.
  • Provide ongoing input to Senior Management for process efficiency improvements.

Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze product usage and gather feedback from partners to drive enhancements and increase revenue.
  • Communicate feedback internally for continuous improvement.

Industry Awareness & Marketing:

  • Stay updated with industry trends and updates.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.
  • Help plan and execute sales campaigns.

Knowledge & Collaboration:

  • Have a good understanding of Welcome’s service and products.
  • Recognizing partner needs to offer the best partnership options.
  • Liaise with all other teams and departments as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 2-4 years of affiliate marketing or business development experience, preferably in the travel industry
  • Good understanding of affiliate marketing and distribution partnership opportunities in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Scale-up mindset
  • Strong sales & negotiation skills
  • You’re highly energetic and like getting things done
  • Proficient in marketing and project management tools/platforms
  • Good knowledge of Web analytics (Google Analytics) and/or other BI tools (looker, PowerBI)
  • Familiarity with online tracking methodologies
  • Understanding of online publisher monetization models (blogs, reviewers, influencers, mass media)
  • Experience with affiliate tracking networks/software platforms (e.g., Commission Junction, ShareASale)
  • Strong time management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, team player with a positive and upbeat personality
  • Digital native with fluency in web and digital technologies
