The Advice Product Management job is part of the management of end-to-end investment products, in terms of its description, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and value of the service. This job may guide the investment leadership and relationship management discussion about the shape and content of the investment product portfolio delivered by the organization. This job is part of a team of professionals focused on the creation and management of product, promotion, communication, distribution strategies and programs designed to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leads oversight of profitability, investment performance, governance, operating model, vendor management and strategic direction of investment products.
- Oversees structuring changes of products or accounts and fosters strategic partnership between product management and portfolio management, legal, accounting, and client servicing teams.
- Leads monitoring efforts of governance matters with various private fund boards and internal committees relating to product development and administration.
- Verifies that clients are provided with excellent customer service and expert assistance on assigned product matters by designated team members.
- Knowledge of agile development and JIRA work tools a plus.

Additional Role Responsibilities:
- Leverages TIAA's internal AI resources to accelerate work and optimize client experiences, including hands-on application of the following:
- Large Language Models (LLMs): using LLMs to synthesize research, generate content, and support product decision-making
- Prompt Engineering: crafting effective prompts to extract high-quality outputs from AI tools for business use cases
- Generative & Agentic AI: understanding how generative AI creates content and how agentic AI autonomously executes multi-step tasks, and identifying opportunities to apply both within advice product workflows
- Staying current on emerging trends in the AI space to proactively identify capabilities that could benefit Advice experiences
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of financial services experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of financial services experience
- Prior experience in Advice Solutions (Accumulation, Decumulation and/or Wealth)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements to illustrate lifetime income from annuity payments
- Knowledge of TIAA’s products and services, including TIAA’s suite of core annuities (Fixed and Variable)
- FINRA Registration
- Experience with AI (specifically with Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering and Generative & Agentic AI)
- Proactive and willing to learn
