Primary Purpose
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and staff support to an assigned leader, department, or functional area. This role ensures smooth daily operations by coordinating information, managing logistics, and handling a wide range of administrative tasks. It supports work of a critical and sometimes confidential nature, contributing to organizational effectiveness through accuracy, professionalism, and proactive problem-solving.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general office management to support daily departmental operations.
  • Distribute and order supplies for the assigned department or functional area.
  • Assist with functional budget processes, including preparing invoices and generating reports.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements such as online research, booking, tracking, and preparing traveler materials.
  • Manage meeting and conference room scheduling.
  • Support meeting and event planning, including coordinating catering, negotiating hotel contracts, and preparing for web/video conferencing.
  • Collect, organize, and present information needed by the functional area.
  • Provide program coordination and administrative support across the department.
  • Act as a liaison and communication link between the leader and functional teams.
  • Research issues, prepare responses, and develop necessary reports.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office programs to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Interact professionally with associates throughout the business.
  • Support special projects and programs as needed.
  • Participate in relevant training, development, and webinars.

Our hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote day. Our core office location for this role is Salisbury, NC.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Qualifications
  • Project management knowledge
  • Technologically savvy (Google, Advanced MS Office, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Demonstrates tact, discretion, and initiative
  • Highly flexible with strong multitasking and prioritization ability
  • Able and willing to learn new software tools and applications
  • Excellent & effective communication skills
  • Follows direction while acting autonomously in tasks impacting the functional area
  • Empathetic, collaborative, and effective working with others
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree

Salary Range: $23.58 - $35.37
