Title: Accounts Payable & Accounting Transformation Lead (Software Transition)

Role Summary:
CAMS is seeking a Program/Transformation Lead with deep accounting expertise to spearhead our software transition in Accounts Payable (AP) and broader accounting processes. This role will drive process redesign, cross-functional coordination, and change management to ensure a smooth migration while maintaining strong financial controls and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead AP/Accounting Workstream: Own the planning and execution of all AP and accounting-related transition activities as part of the “Simplify CAMS” software program.

· Process Design & Continuity: Map current AP and general ledger workflows, identify improvements, and redesign processes in new platforms to preserve or enhance efficiency, compliance, and audit controls.

· Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, and vendor teams to align system configurations with accounting requirements (invoice approvals, payment processing, reconciliation, reporting).

· Change Leadership & Training: Develop and deliver training and support for AP and accounting staff. Champion adoption of new processes and system features, addressing concerns and ensuring users embrace the change.

· Performance & Risk Management: Monitor project milestones for the AP/accounting domain, proactively identify risks or gaps (e.g., in financial reporting, internal controls, vendor payments), and implement mitigation plans. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, issues, and outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Leadership: demonstrated success managing a team of direct reports.

· Project Management: Experience leading ERP/financial system implementations or process transformation projects, preferably in accounts payable/financial operations. Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables across teams.

· Accounting Expertise: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years in financial operations (including AP) with a track record of process improvement or systems implementation.

· Analytical & Process-Oriented: Ability to dissect complex financial workflows and design efficient, scalable processes. Familiarity with AP automation tools, accounting software, and internal control frameworks.

· Change Readiness, Organization Transformation & Communication: Excellent communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to train users, drive adoption of new systems, and foster a positive change culture in a Finance environment.

· Problem-Solving & Leadership: Proactive and strategic thinker with a hands-on approach. Comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives, navigating ambiguity, and making decisions that balance operational needs with project goals.

This is a high-impact role for a finance transformation champion to ensure our AP and accounting teams achieve a seamless transition to new platforms, safeguarding our operational excellence and unlocking new efficiencies in line with CAMS’s strategic objectives.

Benefits & Salary

The position is full-time and the salary is starting at $55,000-$65,000 annually and based on qualifications and experience.
