Role Summary:
The Account Executive will play a key role in expanding Charter Impact’s footprint in new and existing markets, specifically with charter schools and select nonprofit organizations. This is an individual quota carrying and full-cycle sales role focused on prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will navigate a 60–90 day sales cycle, engaging with senior leaders and boards, and quarterbacking deals by collaborating with internal experts and guiding external stakeholders. This role demands a high level of autonomy, consultative selling, and a mission-aligned mindset to drive meaningful impact in the education and nonprofit space.
This position is remote to candidates based in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, MI, NV, OR, SD, TX, UT and/or WA.
*This position requires up to 40% travel
Responsibilities
- Own a defined multi-state territory, focused on charter schools and select nonprofits in expansion markets
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business across a 60–90 day sales cycle
- Respond to RFPs, design solutions/scopes of work, create proposals, lead demos, and present to boards for final approval
- Drive strategic and insights-driven conversations with school leaders, boards, and decision-makers. Act as a trusted partner
- Navigate complex organizational and buying dynamics (e.g., political and funding nuances etc.) across a multi-stakeholder sales process
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts throughout the deal process
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach and opportunities in CRM (HubSpot)
- Leverage tools including ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft 365 Suite for prospecting and communications
- Travel up to 40% for in-person meetings, conferences, or board presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment such as SaaS, edtech, finance, or consulting
- Exceptional past performance against sales quotas and targets
- Proven experience working with senior leaders and presenting to boards
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as HubSpot, sales and lead generation platforms including ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator and professional communication tools like RingCentral, Canva, Microsoft 365, and Adobe
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Consultative, mission-aligned sales practices
- Operate independently and proactively in a remote environment
- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects with confidence and empathy
- Adapt quickly to shifting markets and client needs
- Ability to maintain, encourage and participate in a close and highly collaborative team environment
- Understand and carry out directions in an independent manner
- Learn the appropriate rules, regulations and technical procedures specifically related to finance and operations management for non-profit organizations and charter schools
- Experience or knowledge working in education, non-profits or charter schools is a plus
- Experience in sales of services and solutions in finance, accounting, or operational services is a plus
