You will work on board a TSHD under the Master's supervision
You determine how the dredging work should be performed, in consultation with the Master
You are responsible during your watch for directing the dredging work and optimizing the production
You ascertain whether any maintenance is required with respect to the dredging installation and the auxiliary installation with the First Engineer
You communicate with the project managers, site superintendents, surveyors and local authorities. It is part of the daily job
You give clear and balanced feedback to your co-workers, aiming at the development of others
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nautical sciences or you followed an 'MBO-4' or ‘HBO’ education in a maritime academy or nautical institute
You have worked in the position of 1st Mate or Master in the dredging business for several years
You hold a COC of II/2
You speak and write fluent English
You have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment
You have a hands-on and no nonsense mentality
