Develop, integrate, and test spacecraft flight software across the full lifecycle. Implement and upgrade cFS-based applications, perform unit-to-platform verification in simulation and HIL/FlatSat environments, support integration with hardware and payloads, and participate in anomaly resolution, mission operations support, and proposal activities.

The cFS Internship at Red Canyon teaches students software development skills for space applications, focusing on the Core Flight System. It's an unpaid, virtual internship.

Lead development of SDR embedded software for LEON3 softcore processors: design and implement embedded C/C++ and Python firmware, autoboot FPGA/softcore loading, integrate SpaceWire and other interfaces, manage RTEMS cross-compilation, perform HW/SW integration, debugging, verification, and maintain requirements traceability and documentation.
