The Senior Backend Engineer will lead the development of backend services, collaborate with teams, and ensure scalable, user-focused solutions while leveraging modern software practices.

Lead execution for Places product initiatives: translate leadership priorities into clear specs, run cross-functional delivery (engineering, design, QA), manage scope and timelines, define metrics, test quality, and communicate status and results.

Maintain and evolve the Figma design system, produce detailed specs, assist senior designers with flows and assets, audit components for consistency, collaborate with engineers, and promote accessibility and scalable UI patterns.
