Supervises medical billing and reimbursement operations, including claims follow-up, collections, accounts receivable, aged receivables, productivity reporting, and compliance. Leads, coaches, and evaluates billing staff while managing workflows, performance standards, process improvements, and staffing needs. Partners with Finance, IT, laboratory departments, insurers, Medicare, Medicaid, and HMOs to resolve billing issues, improve reimbursement, reduce write-offs and DSO, and maintain accurate records.

Abstracts diagnostic elements from surgical pathology reports, validates specimen metadata, maps diagnoses to IHC and molecular testing, and enters standardized information into laboratory databases and LIS/NIS systems. The role coordinates with pathologists, medical teams, laboratory operations, and client services to resolve discrepancies, document escalations, support auditability and CAP/CLIA compliance, and improve data workflows. It also trains team members and maintains accuracy, quality control, and data integrity.

Sells oncology diagnostic testing services to specialty and current customers through remote and office-based engagement. Responsibilities include territory planning, cold calling, virtual presentations, customer relationship management, opportunity identification, negotiation, closing, and collaboration with field sales and internal stakeholders. The role requires clinical and laboratory market knowledge, strong communication and influencing skills, product learning ability, and occasional travel of up to 10–15%.
