MVF Company Culture & Values
MVF Employee Perspectives
Tell us about your experience with the onboarding process at MVF. What resources, tools, or people were made available to you during the process?
The onboarding process was very smooth! On day one, our talent partner was extremely helpful walking us through benefits, account logins and company policies. We also met with IT, who got us set up with our equipment. We were quickly introduced to what the first three months of being at MVF would be like and given an outline of our sales academy.
How did the onboarding program contribute to your understanding of the company culture, values and expectations?
Our human resources team went through a presentation that detailed the company culture and values. We went through a second presentation with the sales team that covered the expectations of the role. Onboarding consisted of multiple training courses covering multiple aspects of how to be successful in the role. Each manager provided ongoing support through separate presentations and by being available to answer any questions that came up.
What about your onboarding experience was different from past experiences starting in a new role?
The onboarding process at MVF was mapped out clearly and organized efficiently. You can tell it was well thought out as opposed to past onboarding experiences that seemed unorganized.

Describe MVF’s company culture in one word. What made you pick that word?
“Un-egotistical.” It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been at the company for, or at what level. If you have an idea to change and improve things, you’ll be listened to and have the freedom to make that change. There are no egos getting in the way of positive change
For example, in the paid marketing team, there is full control over their performance marketing campaigns. They get to own the ideation and execution. They do not need sign-off from a client, or a more senior employee. As long as their concepts abide by platform policy, they have freedom to craft their own strategy, which significantly accelerates the team’s learning and development.
How long have you been with MVF, and what professional growth or development have you seen in that time?
I joined in September 2014, so it’s been just over 10 years. A long time to stay at one company for, but I’ve chosen MVF as my long-term stay because of the progression, culture and impact I can make at this company. I joined straight out of University, and have been able to progress to the senior leadership team at MVF over that time.
MVF does an excellent job training and developing their own talent, which I’ve been able to benefit from over the years. This has all helped me to learn new skills, challenge myself and take on new and exciting projects throughout the 10 years I’ve been at the company. If you’re looking for a company that recognizes hard work and develops their talent, this is the place to be.

How long have you been with MVF? What made you know it was the right spot for you?
Bailey: I’m just about to hit my one-year mark at the beginning of June, and it has flown by! I knew MVF was the place for me because it had everything I was looking for when I left my other job. It was a place where I could be challenged, see myself growing and furthering my career and have a team I could learn from. The people also made me feel so welcome, and the workplace culture just helped solidify my decision to accept a job here.
Olivia: I’ve been with MVF for just over six months. I immediately knew MVF was the perfect fit for me because I felt myself wanting to go to work every day. I truly enjoy the workplace culture; Because of the exciting work I’m able to do, yes, but also because I love hanging out with my coworkers.
What’s your favorite part about your office?
Bailey: My favorite part of the office is the amenities we have here. There’s cold brew on tap, fun monthly events and the opportunity to connect with so many people you probably would never get to meet. It also helps to have quieter spaces for meetings or little one-on-ones.
The location is also excellent. We’re pretty close to downtown, so you have all the spots to go right after work, and commuting here takes me less than 15 minutes — which is great!
Olivia: I’m a big fan of the ninth-floor communal area. It’s so fun to take a quick break with other MVFers and walk up there to grab a coffee or kombucha together. It gives all of us a chance to hear about one another’s weekend plans and how life is going.
Describe your company culture in one word. What made you pick that word?
Bailey: Dynamic. There’s always something going on, which makes the days go by so fast and feel so productive. There’s constant problem-solving, collaborating, laughter and just plain fun that goes on here. You truly never know what kind of day you will be walking into, which for me makes it such a great place to work.
Olivia: Supportive. While I love the amount of fun and laughter in the office, I particularly appreciate the support I receive from MVF. From taking sick days to being thoroughly recognized for my accomplishments to getting help with the smallest questions, everyone is ready to drop everything to help each other out.

Describe your company culture in one word. What made you pick that word?
Energising — when my team was pushing towards a really high target on LinkedIn and wanted to be the best in the industry we would be full of energy. We had silly meetings where we would share and celebrate wins and when we would sometimes go for drinks after work we would literally be refreshing our numbers live and toasting if it was a record day again. We tested so much so quickly and were posting records every day and even celebrated losses as something we are glad we tried. It was a great environment full of genuine friendship and choosing to spend time together outside of work and the atmosphere was inspiring and amazing.
How long have you been with the company, and what professional growth or development have you seen in that time?
I have been at the company for 7.5 years now and it’s been incredible for my growth and development. I started off entry level and I am now a director (-2 from CEO). I’ve had the chance to build new capabilities from scratch, in leading a team that cracked “new” channels such as LinkedIn and TikTok. Recently I was given the task of building a new team (creative strategists). It’s been incredible to be given the opportunity to build things that carry some risk but in paying off have meant that I have the opportunity to be a real industry leader. For example, my LinkedIn team was named in the top 10 global advertisers alongside Apple, Microsoft and Oracle.
As well as this, I was given a huge amount of leadership support (access to a workplace psychology coach, a leadership development academy and so much support and mentorship from people senior to me). This has not only allowed me to build my leadership skills but also to really learn who I am as a person and what I deem to be important in life. These are such valuable lessons in life as well as career-wise!
